The MCR Committee
The MCR Committee exists to uphold the MCR constitution. They do this by getting involved with everything from arranging dinners and events to attending meetings to ensure that the College and University listen to what you have to say. The committee is made up of members from the current MCR community.

I’m a second year PhD student in the Zoology department, researching RNA interference. Having done my undergrad at Emma too I’ve been around Cambridge for a while. Outside the lab I am a keen rower and also enjoy trying to sing with Emmanuel College Chorus.

Arrived in Cambridge in April 2016, I am doing a PhD in virology and vaccination strategies in the Department of Pathology. Being from Wallonia, I am always keen to chat in French and I am also a chocolate addict. When I am not in the lab, I am doing acrobatic rock ’n roll, playing squash or I am planning my next backpacking trip!

I am a third year PhD student in the department of zoology. Originally from the states, I’ve been in the UK long enough to say ’trousers’ instead of ’pants’ as a matter of course. When I'm not investigating underwater mysteries (ie studying fish behavior), I can be found tinkering with my fiction.

I am currently a second-year PhD student studying at the Department of Veterinary Medicine. I enjoy taking long walks to Granchester or Fen Ditton and you can find me reading outside somewhere around the Emma duck ponds when it's not rainy during the summer. If you have any questions about Emma’s green community, feel free to contact me.

I’m studying Computer Science and Technology Policy with a focus on information technology for development work and the legitimacy of global technology regimes. I enjoy photography, and Emma offers many beautiful subjects. You can find me frantically cycling between lectures or, alternatively, taking coffee breaks in the MCR.

I am an MPhil student in the Philosophy of Religion currently studying German Idealism, critical theory, Jewish mysticism, and the relationships of aesthetics, politics and religion. Some of the things I enjoy include traveling to new places, taking photographs, and writing creatively.

I am a first year clinical biochemistry PhD student, researching how editing genes that regulate feeding behaviours affects different neural pathways. My lab answers questions including: "Why are some people more obese than others?" and "What genetic mutations dictate how much weight a person gains?" When I am not in the lab, I enjoy longboarding, using my drum kit, and making comedic videos.

My name is Bobby Seagull, I'm from east London and I completed my Masters in Education (specialising in Maths). I'm now starting a Doctorate in the same field as well as teaching Maths at a local school, Chesterton Community College. I'm a big fan of football (West Ham United!) and I enjoy accumulating random (and sometimes useless) quiz trivia and general knowledge!

Disabled Students Representative
CRSID - slb95
I’m Sarah and I’m in the first year of my PhD in Cardiovascular Science. I’m passionate that all students should be able to get the most out of their time at Cambridge and that disability should pose no barrier to this.
